IMPACT – a newly developed work placement and vocational training program for young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

New Haven Learning Centre is pleased to offer a newly developed work placement and vocational training program for young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related disabilities funded in part by the Government of Canada. IMPACT aims to support young adults living with ASD and other related developmental disabilities build skills and experience in line with meaningful employment. Placement matching and strength based assessments will be offered to suitable candidates. Our program goal is to support each client by increasing personal independence and develop opportunities to experience success through gainful employment. The IMPACT of employment brings value to clients and employees. Our educational and treatment program is honoured to have the valued funding contribution of the Opportunities Grant, offered through The Government of Canada as a valued supporter of vocational training initiatives for those with ASD.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
21 week program
Enhance your employment potential workshops (6 Weeks)
Work placement with occasional job coaching (15 Weeks)

ELIGIBILITY:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and require assistance to
prepare, obtain, and keep employment and be above the age of 16.

REGISTRATION INTAKE:
Interested Young Adults may contact New Haven Learning Centre as of July 17th, 2017. Intake appointments will be scheduled to determine suitability for the program before July 30th, 2017. Limited spots are available.
