The Self-Regulation Group is offered to persons:
- with a Mild Intellectual Disability,
- who are 16 years old or older,
- with a natural support/ caregiver to accompany the person (details below).
Participants must be accompanied by a family member who will attend the Family Connect Group that takes place at the same place and time, also FREE of charge.
The Family Connect Group is facilitated by a Social Worker from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s Adult Neurodevelopmental Service.
The group is designed to provide peer-support, self-care and coping strategies while providing education and valuable resources to help meet the challenges involved when supporting an individual with dual diagnosis. The sessions will include presentations from various community partners.
Please note that as part of determining a participant’s eligibility and suitability to the Self-Regulation Group, an in-person visit to CAMH at 1001 Queen Street West, Unit 4-3 to meet the team will be necessary.
If you have any further questions or are interested in signing up (yourself or a potential participant), please contact Steven Bennett (Developmental Services Worker) at 416-535-8501 ext. 32070. See flyer for more details
