Reducing Barriers to Inclusion Using Wearable Technology

Stress, anxiety, and strong emotions can often present as barriers to inclusion and an enjoyable life for people who have an intellectual disability. These barriers can be challenging to understand and see.

Awake Labs develop technology that helps people who have an intellectual disability manage their stress so they can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying life. Their technology has been used by families and Community Living agencies throughout the province since March 2019. This session will highlight stories from people who are currently using Awake Labs’ technology, and information about how the technology works, and share details on how to access this technology with Passport funding.
