The Power and Potency of Social Capital

Extend-A-Family is inviting you to a virtual learning opportunity you don’t want to miss! This webinar will have something for everyone regardless of age or stage in life and our focus is on relationships.

The core work of Extend-A-Family is focused on relationships. Our relationships keep us safe, they bring meaning and a sense of belonging to our lives. Through relationships we give deeply of ourselves; however, most people with disabilities have far fewer freely given relationships in their lives. This is a loss to both the person with a disability and a community who has not come to know the individual’s gifts and contributions. With loss of relationships, there is often loss of opportunity too. The lack of relationships is a common concern amongst families. We have invited Al Condeluci to lead us virtually where he will focus our learning and conversations on relationships and their value and impact on our lives; this is known as social capital.

On January 27th, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Al Condeluci will join us to present “The Power and Potency of Social Capital”. You will walk away with a better understanding of the impact of friendships in our lives, or “social capital” and what our relationships do for us. You will begin to think about how friendships can be better developed over time, and in turn build a more inclusive community.

You don’t want to miss this opportunity!
