NEW SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Geneva Centre for Autism Respite Coordination Services

We are very pleased to announce that with the support of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Geneva Centre for Autism (GCA) will be providing Autism Respite Coordination Services. GCA will act as the central point of intake for respite services and support in the Toronto Region for families of children, youth and adults living with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. In addition to intake, the service will provide brief service coordination, respite planning, and funding education to families and service providers.

Recruitment efforts are underway for this new service, and we ask that you please be patient with us, as this task will take some time. We are committed to providing you with monthly updates and hope to launch by June 2023. Please check back at for updates.

Therefore, effective immediately, Toronto Region, including the CHAP Program, is closed. We are no longer accepting any new family or agency referrals. Toronto has played an integral role in the developmental sector for over 20 years, acting as the central point of intake for respite and providing respite coordination, respite and funding education and supports to families and agencies. We extend much thanks and gratitude to the many staff, past and current, that have made Toronto such a valuable service over the years. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and we thank-you for your understanding and patience.

As we close operations, we ask that if you are currently supporting a family enrolled in our CHAP database that may require any support during the transition, please contact us at as soon as possible (prior to March 31).

Please note, there will be no change to the criteria or administration of Flex Funding.
