Come meet other Sibs for a day of fun and games, share stories and make new friends
We are running a Sibshop at 65 the East Mall on May 27th from 10 AM – 2 PM.
Having a child with a disability affects each family and its members in a unique way. Siblings have distinct needs which can sometimes be overlooked. This may leave the siblings feeling isolated. This special day for young siblings is meant to encourage them to talk about their unique experiences of being a sibling of someone with special needs in a relaxed setting. By participating in fun cooperative games and activities, siblings will connect with others who truly understand.
Sibshops are events where sibs will meet other sibs to have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs, play some great games, learn something about the services their brothers and sister receive, and have some more fun.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
