Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) for Family Caregivers Information Forum

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of family caregivers, we are pleased to invite you to an information forum to learn about our National project delivering Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) workshops with and to family caregivers. ACT aims to increase psychological flexibility by helping people learn to be in the present moment, to be open to difficult thoughts and feelings and to identify and move toward what they value in life. Our ACT model, co-delivered by family caregivers and clinicians working in partnership, has demonstrated benefits to the mental health and wellbeing of families of people with neurodevelopmental conditions and disabilities. With funding from Kids Brain Health Network, Brain Canada and the Azrieli Foundation, we recently evaluated delivery of our ACT program with 8 teams across Canada.
