JVS Toronto is introducing a new pre-employment program for adults with developmental disabilities. This fee-for-service program will focus on employability and life skills development.

RiseAbility

An innovative 1-year program that empowers adults with developmental disabilities by developing employability skills, enhancing communication, fostering independent living skills, and promoting activity and inclusion within the greater community.

Program Includes:

• Warm, welcoming, inclusive environment 
• Developing key employable and life skills
• Education on employer expectations and workplace practices 
• Hands-on workplace simulations
• Volunteer opportunities 
• Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS) progress reports
• Communication with parents or caregivers
• Guidance from experienced professionals

Packages & Rates:

We offer flexible package options of 2, 3, or 5 days per week. Applications are accepted 4 times a year in January, April, July, and October.

Package 1: $25,000
5 Days/Week • Monday to Friday

Package 2: $17,500
3 Days/Week • Monday, Tuesday, Friday

Package 3: $10,000
2 Days/Week • Wednesday, Thursday

Eligibility:

• 18 years of age or older
• Diagnosed with developmental disabilities
• Able to commute to and from the program site
• Able to use transport for supervised outings, e.g. TTC or alternative transportation arrangements
