Community Living Ontario Publishes Two New Resources on Human Trafficking

To mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, Community Living Ontario posted two new documents – a short policy brief on Ontario’s anti-human trafficking strategy, and a longer resource that reviews recent research on people’s vulnerability to abuse and trafficking.  
 
While Ontario has recently made strides that will help victims of human trafficking, there is much more to do. Unfortunately, the province will not make a dent in rates of human trafficking until income supports are drastically improved, and until our approach to decision-making support for people with intellectual disabilities is revolutionized.
