Lisa Priest, writer for the Globe writes an informative article on the current state of the affairs families endure with lengthly residential wait lists for their family members. LIGHTS was mentioned as an alternative to support families and it motivates me to find more families who need this type of planning support! Take a read and let us know what you think….the numbers are staggaring!

What strikes me is that even with the daunting task in front of them, Graham and Susan know where they need to get and are doing something to achieve it. There is an end goal and a direction to take to get there. That in itself breeds hope, purpose and a will to succeed.

I agree with you Don. When speaking to Susan about this, it’s obvious that she is advocating for all parents and their kids! The podcast was fantastic too – sparked a lot of conversation from what I understand! Susan and Graham are well on their way to finding a solution…that’s good news and I’m sure she’d be happy to tell their story….new chapters are being written everyday!
