      Hi there,

      I wasn’t sure what part of the forum to put this in, so I hope it is okay to post here.

      Yesterday I found out that my psychiatrist is retiring in a year. Given wait times, I need to start looking for a replacement now.

      I am looking for someone in either Scarborough, North York, or downtown Toronto. I am looking for someone with experience with adults with ASD and who can do medication management, fill out forms/provide referrals that only psychiatrists can provide, and do general follow up every 4-6 weeks.

      I have heard good things about Dr Yona Lunsky at CAMH, but don’t know if she sees adults on the spectrum.

      Any recommendations?

            Hi Littlewolf,

            There are a few ways to go about getting a new psychiatrist.
            1. You can request that your current psychiatrist refer or transfer you to a new one
            2. You can get a referral from your family doctor
            3. Here is a site where you can search for doctors through the College of Physicians and Surgeons: https://doctors.cpso.on.ca/?search=general
            4. Surrey Place Centre also offers lots of services, you can check out their ASD specific services here: https://www.surreyplace.ca/services/autism-services/
