We are currently planning with help from LIGHTS (http://www.lights.to) to explore housing options for our daughter, and are looking for another family to work with. We are also open to exploring possible options for a supportive roommate.

Timeline: 1-2 years

Type of housing: accessible, barrier-free, rental apartment – 2 bedroom/2bath (one must be shower only)

Location: Toronto, preferably center, south, and/or west.

Must be a female roommate. No pets, please. Non-smoker only.

About our daughter: She is a 40 yr old woman. She has a happy disposition and gets along well with others. She is looking forward to living with a roommate and having her own place.

She will require daily support relating to money management, scheduling, transportation and food purchasing and preparation. If the roommate requires support, some of those costs may be shared. (to be determined)

Emily likes; watching TV, listening to music, playing cards, some boardgames, karaoke and bingo. She loves to swim. She likes to do computer work. She loves spending time with family and friends.

Her must-haves for a roommate according to Emily: “honest”, “respectful”, “polite”, “kind” and she hopes they have some things in common.
