I am a woman in my mid-forties looking to find and share a two-bedroom two-bathroom unit in the East York or West Scarbough area (roughly Warden and Lawrence). Your age is not a factor for me. I am hoping to move out from my aging parents’ home within the next six months.
About me:
I am generally an easy going, happy person who likes people.
I was living on my own with some support in York Region but have returned to Toronto and am looking for someone to share an apartment with me. I am very independent and know what to do in case of an emergency
My family helps me if I have any problems that I can’t manage, but I am independent regarding tasks such as grocery shopping, laundry, and cleaning. I will also be looking at hiring a independence support coach to help me with some meal preparation and with organizing activities a couple days per week.
I enjoy medical and detective shows, animals, shopping, going for walks, swimming, and doing arts and crafts. I watch a lot of movies and I love listening to classic rock.
I have a Boston Terrier who is comfortable with other animals (including cats). He would be sharing our new apartment.
My Ideal Roommate:
I am looking for a non-smoker and non-drinker. I am very open to sharing an accessible or semi-accessible apartment with someone. My ideal roommate would be someone who will be respectful of my privacy as I will respect theirs.
I would like to have a room mate who will socialize with me on occasion, perhaps cook some meals together, or enjoy some time outside.
My dog would be living with us, so someone without allergies and who is friendly with dogs and animals is important to me.
