Safehaven provides respite care to children from ages 0-18 who have complex medical, physical and developmental disabilities. Their respite services provide families with a period of relief which can range from a few hours to a few weeks depending on the needs of the family. Respite gives the family a chance to recharge, rest, go on a vacation, spend time with other loved ones and engage in activities that might not otherwise be possible.

While at Safehaven, our children enjoy a range of activities, such as our Snoezelen Rooms, outdoor swimming pools, community outings to the movies, zoo or museum and weekly music Jamborees and pet therapy sessions. It is never a dull moment at Safehaven!

Respite visits cost a family $40 for a 24 hour visit and $20 for a day visit but the ability to pay is never a barrier to service.
