Tracy Lamourie is a business woman who lives in North York, has been married for 20 years and is a mother of two children. Her daughter is currently pursuing higher education in London, and her son is a ten year old with special needs who is a student in a North York TDSB school. Tracy is also a seasoned political campaigner with over two decades of social justice work that has taught her how to deal with different levels of government, Although she’s been approached to run federally and provincially by different political parties, she’s never taken the leap into politics until now – galvanized by the clear lack of services so many of our children are receiving after recent cutbacks, and stories in the news about TDSB mismanagement of funds. Tracy knows how to advocate for a cause, build consensus and how to navigate different levels of government. This puts her in a position to make effective change. She is answering the call of community members, making the jump into electoral politics -and asking for your support. Let’s make our community stronger. Every child matters!
