I am a mother with a 26 year old son with developmental disabilities. I have just recently become aware of this opportunity to connect with other families who have the same issues as I do. I am a working professional but my first passion is my son's welfare. My son is the most wonderful, compassionate and kind person that I have ever encountered in this world, he helps me to cook, clean the house and takes the garbage out. I have watched friends with children who are intellects and have graduated from universities but they don't lift a finger to help their parents!! When I see this I always thank God for how blessed I am to have my son. He is very friendly once he gets to know a person, likes to sing and dance. How does my son connect with his own people and make friends from this community??
