I’m Kim, a private practice Recreation Therapist in the Greater Toronto Area, passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals through meaningful leisure!
I help individuals with disabilities make the most of their lives – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. I support my clients’ functional and recreational goals through purposeful, enjoyable, results-oriented leisure activities. The overall goals are to improve quality of life and bring a sense of purpose back to their lives by helping them do the things that bring them joy, despite any limitations. I meet clients in the community, their homes, and in various living facilities, and am approved by Passport Program funding.
Recreation Therapy sessions may focus on goal areas like: community integration, mood, mobility, memory, social effectiveness, etc., and programming can include: adapted sports, cognitive games, reminiscence, community outings, creative arts & more! Everything is centred on the individual’s needs, strengths, and preferences.
