BEING Studio offers both online and in-person studio arts programming. 

BEING artists are free to pursue their own creative interests and learn new art techniques from experienced studio facilitators. The studio offers creative support and guidance in media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, fibre art, printmaking and creative writing. Along with our core Monday- Friday daytime programming (10:00am-2:30pm) BEING offers online, evening and weekend participation options.

Cost: Studio Fees for 2024 

  • Monday – Friday Day Programs 10am – 2:30pm: Monthly membership fees range from  $100 – $265 per month and are eligible for reimbursement under the Ontario Government’s Passport Program. 
  • Tuesday Evening Arts Program 6pm-8pm: Membership is $160 per month over 6 months. Each individual session is $40 and will be billed over 6 months. 
  • Saturday Morning Arts Program 9am – 12pm: Membership is $180 per month over 5 months. Each individual session is $45 and will be billed monthly over 6 months.   
  • Saturday Afternoon Arts Program 1pm- 4pm: Membership is $180 per month over 5 months. Each individual session is $45 and will be billed monthly over 6 months.   
  • Online Programming: Online programming currently runs on Mondays between 10am-12pm and includes invitations to our afternoon workshop subscription. Current fees are $220 per month. 

 

You will receive digital invoices at the beginning of each month through our QuickBooks accounting system. Payments can be made by post-dated cheque, e-transfer to studio@beingstudio.ca or by credit card if requested.

BEING Studio is a community of artists with developmental disabilities. At BEING, artists have access to the space, the tools, and the representation to create and commercialize their art. Each artist is encouraged and supported in achieving their unique creative and professional goals. BEING artists contribute to the cultural life of the city through a regular program of exhibitions as well as collaborations with guest artists.
