Polaris is a Fee for Service Day Program offering Services to those individuals with age-related needs who also have physical and developmental disabilities. Programming will focus on maintaining current abilities with a strong focus on Healthy lifestyles; from healthy cooking and eating, range of movement, to strength-based training, including yoga, stretching, dance and music. Activities will have shorter timeframes with frequent breaks to build success and exercise not only our bodies but our mind.
The location itself is more adaptable, including a single-story level entrance (no stairs/elevators) with a beautiful large window facing the Danforth, 1 fully accessible washroom and a second standard washroom also available. We have a small, fully accessible kitchenette where we will offer inclusive meal prep and cooking activities. The neighborhood is lovely with many shops along the Danforth, parkettes and Monarch Parks just 2 blocks south. A TTC/Wheeltrans bus stop is located just steps outside the door and street parking is available.
