Dream Weavers Summer in the City Life Skills Summer Camp!

This is a super fun two-week full day summer camp where we socialize, get active, learn independent living skills, and explore our community! This is a group program for teens and young adults on the Autism Spectrum and with other disabilities. Each day includes social activities (social cafe, board games, etc), a life skills lesson, a physical activity (e.g. dance, yoga, frisbee in the park), and planning for the end of camp day trip! One day of the camp will be a full day field trip within the city, planned and determined by the group members.

WHEN: M-F for two weeks, typically starting at the end of July/ beginning of August  (no camp during the August civic holiday). Exact dates TBD.

TIME: 10am – 3pm

WHERE: CSI – Annex at 720 Bathurst St (a block and a half South of Bathurst Station) in downtown Toronto – (The building is accessible)

Who can participate?
You must be:

  • A teen or young adult on the spectrum, with another developmental difference, or any disability
  • Motivated to have fun with peers
  • Able to participate in a group with a 1:10 staff to camper ratio from 10am-3pm (with break for lunch)

What is the cost? – $595/ week
Cost includes: 9 days of camp, a booklet of life skills resources and worksheets. Lunch and transportation are not included. Use your passport funding!

Dream Weavers: An Occupational Therapy Collective

Dream Weavers is a downtown Toronto grassroots organization run by two occupational therapists, Mira Etlin-Stein & Amanda Landry. We serve teens & young adults on the Autism Spectrum & with other disabilities. Our goal is to break down barriers and build inclusive communities through offering group programs & private 1:1 sessions in the area of life & employment skills.
