Toronto Community Participation Services (Toronto CPS) is excited to invite you to our Holiday Respite Days during Christmas Week—a season full of fun, friendship, and festive experiences! Our Holiday Respite events will run from December 29th to 31st, 2025, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Spots are limited, so don’t wait—sign up early to secure your place!

Wagner Green Centre for Access & Inclusion – Upcoming December Events

On December 4th, we are hosting our Winter Season Meet and Greet. This event will give community members the chance to connect with new and old friends, meet our amazing roster of facilitators, and learn about the programming that we have planned for the new year!

Location: Miles Nadal JCC (750 Spadina Ave)

This event is free to attend, but registration is required.

On December 7th, we invite you to join us for our Winter Wonderland Party

This event is being organized by our Social Committee made up of community members with disabilities. Some highlights of this exciting event include music, mocktails, pizza, sweet treats, arts and crafts, board games, and much more! 

We will also have a “chill out zone” for anyone who wants to have a quiet moment.

Time: 5:00-8:00pm
Location: Miles Nadal JCC (750 Spadina Ave)
Ticket Price: $25 (includes food and drink)

Upcoming Winter Programs at Purple Carrots Drama Studio!

Our Winter Programs are open for registration, with sessions launching in January. Registration closes December 9, and we’re already seeing strong early traction. Full program details are available here: purplecarrots.ca/winter-programs/

A key evolution this season: we’re now offering Clinical Service Add-Ons, allowing participants who use  clinical funding streams to engage in our workshops with the support of a regulated professional. This model enables families to leverage clinical dollars while maintaining the creative, strength-based programming we’re known for.

Symphonic Passion Chorus Concert – Dec 10, 6pm

2025 Symphonic Passion Chorus 20th Anniversary Concert

WHEN: December 10, 2025 | 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Church of the Holy Trinity (10 Trinity Sq, Toronto, ON, M5G 1B1)

Join us for an evening of holiday songs, raffle tickets, and some exciting new elements in honour of our 20th anniversary like:

  • Two special guest conductors including the choir’s founder, Bruce Edwards
  • Solo performances by choir members
  • Songs featuring movement, instruments and other complex musical elements

Spots Still Available in January in Skills Development Program

Down Syndrome Foundation Canada is launching a new pilot training program in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Labour’s Skills Development Fund. This program will train people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to become Supported Co-Workers, giving them hands-on experience and opening doors to rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

Join Respecting Rights Quarterly Meeting on December 12th at 2:00 PM! [online]

Respecting Rights is a project at ARCH Disability Law Centre led by persons who identify as having an intellectual or developmental disability. In these meetings, we provide updates on ARCH and Respecting Rights work, and lead discussions on topics that are important to the community. These meetings are led by self-advocates, for self-advocates. Support persons are welcome to attend if they are assisting someone to participate in the meeting.

Join us on Friday December 12th at 2:00 PM on Zoom as we talk about human rights and discrimination.
