    Event Details:

The County of Brant Public Library invites you to a special social learning event to use MagnusCards at the Paris Branch of the County of Brant Public Libraries. Participants will have the opportunity to use MagnusCards, a mobile digital app designed to support users with cognitive special needs, to practice getting a library card and searching the online catalog with confidence and independence!
The activity session includes a brief overview of MagnusCards, and and interactive activities using the County of Brant Public Library MagnusCards Decks. Light refreshments will also be provided. Participants and parent/support workers can also check items out from the library as desired.

    About MagnusCards:

MagnusCards is a unique mobile application that can be used by parents and community partners to create digital social stories to build life skills for independent living and community involvement. The County of Brant Public Libraries has used the MagnusCards platform to create three new Card Deck guides: ‘Getting a Library Card,’ ‘Searching the Online Catalog’ and ‘Checking Out Items’. These guides feature step-by-step instructions with pictures, audio and text to help visitors learn new skills for navigating the County of Brant Public Libraries.
Please arrive as early as 15 minutes before the start of the event.
