Uber transportation?

Wondering if anyone has used the Uber service to provide transportation for their adult child with a developmental disability. My son is verbal and non-aggressive, but he is also not a good (or timely) reporter on situations where he feels uncomfortable. He will be attending a program that is too far away for our regular transportation provider to support, and alternatives cost as much as a cab. We have applied for WheelTrans, but in the meantime are looking for other options, and Uber seems a good choice as a way to help build his independence.

    HI Laurie,
I’ve used Uber for my brother who is also verbal and non-aggressive without a problem. You can send a message to the driver explaining the situation. It also helps to have your son wear something to make him stand out. My brother has a bright purple back pack.
