      Hi everyone,

      Sorry for all the questions lately.

      Does anyone know of a funding source that could be put toward an adult sized weighted blanket for a small adult? Partial funding would be fine.

      I have applied to the Building Brighter Futures Fund for a different purpose, and there is someone looking into another option for me regarding the blanket. A friend is also applying to a weighted blanket giveaway on my behalf (I don’t live in the region that the giveaway runs in).

        Hi Littlewolf: I am surprised that the OT who prescribed the blanket didn’t give you some places to apply to or apply for you for approval. I would check there first.
        Another place to ask is ODSP, A portion of it might be eligible. If you have group benefits at work, it might be covered there.

          Oh, I wasn’t aware that a prescription was needed for a weighted blanket. I will have to look into that. Of course I guess if someone is going to fund it then they need official proof of diagnosis/need. I can ask my doctor next time.

          I don’t get ODSP and I don’t have benefits from my part time job.
