Adults in Motion (A.I.M.) Day Program

Kitchener, Cambridge, Oakville, Hamilton ONTARIO

We are a not for profit organization that offers Day Programs for people with developmental disabilities. Our programs offer a variety of fun activities, community adventures, inclusion opportunities, skill building, exercise programs, volunteerism, and spending time with friends.

Qualifying Criteria

As a community active program with a 5:1 participant to staff ratio, our day programs support individuals who:

  • Are 16+
  • Enjoy participating in different types of activities and outings,
  • Can travel safely in small supervised groups throughout the community,
  • Are generally independent in the washroom,
  • And who do not have aggressive or disruptive behaviours.

This program is not suitable for you if you:

  • Require one to one assistance for most activities
  • Have significant support needs
  • Do not understand basic English/able to follow simple directions

Languages supported in the program: English (some basic sign language used)

Program hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm

Dates: Year-round services with summer camp opportunities. Generally members sign up for day(s) of the week and are charged monthly tuition fees. Some flexible and summer camp dates/weeks available as well.
