Creating Alternatives provides services to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Alternatives is a registered charity/non-profit that provides a day program for adults with disabilities including downs syndrome, autism and global developmental delay in the York Region area. Through programming we provide a safe and supportive environment where participants are able to socialize, learn and adapt in the community as well as practice literacy and work skills, to aid in transition into adulthood.
Creating Alternatives Day Program
Creating Alternatives provides participants with programs that educate, train, develop and create experiences for meaningful community integration. Our ultimate goal is to create a personalized plan for each participant that includes training and programming in a variety of areas. A program may include: life skills, work skills, health and wellness, literacy, social & communication skills, fitness, recreation and/or multi-sensory awareness.
