The Wellspring Centre is a day center for young adults with mental and physical disabilities. We are located in a multi-unit plaza in East Scarbrough which is walking distance to an outdoor park, playground, and public transportation. The ratio of staff to participants in the program is typically 1:5 however we can accommodate 1:1 or 1:3 as required. Our dynamic theme-based programs ensure that all our members are engaged, regardless of ability level. Each day our members learn and develop a number of skills, journey with friends, and make memories together. We understand that independent living is a life goal for some of our members and their loved ones. Therefore, several of our programs are designed to promote independence in many areas of life. These include cooking, cleaning, hygiene, TTC travel and safety, grocery shopping, budgeting, internet safety. Our community partners help some of our members facilitate job training, find volunteer opportunities, job placements, and housing.
