Check out the link. This is what the governments thinks is good for our children. Do you? Is this were you want your child to go at 21?

I disagree with our goverment moving young adults with disabilties into a senior home to live. It is way different if young adults with disabilties who are working in a senior home. It is like living with your Grandparents do you know anyone with disabilties and families who has experienceses living with a grandparent or death? What is our goverment thinking this is suicide. Why would young adults have to live like this? Think about it!! I think we have accessible supportive a care barrier free in Ontario than United States Of America. Do you think young adults with disabilties in America would want to move to Toronto because we have better health care system

This is very sad!! What are they thinking!! That could happen to my daughter and I will fight them badly.
Young adults need a place where you see them grow up healthy and achieve success . They need a good support to help them reach their full potential. I am very disappointed and scared of what I just read , I thought of our government are working towards our disabled childrens to grow up Great. I hope and pray that will change soon because I do have hope and trust in our country that they will do their best all the time .

          Hi Alanna

this is why it is so important for parents and the individual to plan for the future, rather than put it in the hands of the government. Families need to educate themselves and let their children take risks and try different things.
Connected Families is having a forum on October 25th to get families together to network and hear options. You should check it out on this site. Its a really cheap forum – for $25.00 you have a session with Brandon Pooran, hear from some self advocates and network with other families on issues that are important to you.
